THE MEANING BEHIND OUR NAME
Lynx Eyecare was not founded in a garage or basement like many companies that have changed our world, but it did begin with a dream ... literally.
The Yuricek Family is very proud of its Slovak heritage. This is likely what lead to Dr. Yuricek's dream to search for "Slovak Mythology." The day following his dream, he was curious enough to do just that. One of the google search results that caught his attention was the lynx. As it turns out, in mythology, this bobcat is known for its highly reflective eyes and is thought to have super- human eye sight, even capable of seeing through solid objects. It is also known in some Amercian Indian traditions as a "keeper of secrets." Let it be no secret that, although it would be virtually impossible to provide you with that level of vision, our doctor and staff will certainly strive to do so.

Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Gregory M. Yuricek
Dr. Yuricek is a Warren Native and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He received a BS in Math and Science Education from Youngstown State University in 2003. While doing so, he worked in the eyecare industry, earning an Optician’s License and ABO (American Board of Opticianry) Certification. After doing so, he continued his education and obtained his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA in 2010, where he was an optics teaching assistant and received Clinical Excellence awards in both Primary Care and Low Vision Rehabilitation.

When he graduated, Dr. Yuricek returned home and established his practice Dr. Gregory M. Yuricek and Associates, Inc. He relocated his practice in 2016 and founded Lynx Eyecare. His areas of interest include Diabetic Eye Care, Ocular Disease, Ocular Emergencies, and Pediatrics. He is licensed to practice Optometry by the Ohio State Board of Optometry.
Dr. Yuricek is actively involved with the Lion’s Club, The Sight For All United, and The Warren Family Mission by helping those in the community that do not have the means to obtain eyecare.
He currently resides in Girard, Ohio and spends his free time in the investment world and also enjoys staying active with his Great Dane, Hartford, and by playing basketball, running and traveling.
